I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the wonderful team at Salon Lorrene in Palatine.

I’ve gotten to know Lorrene over the past year, and I truly admire her. She’s not only an exceptional business owner, she’s an empowering leader. She’s built a luxury salon experience and a team that stays. As I chatted with each stylist, I was amazed at how many have been there for years. That says everything.

They deliver beautiful work, and they genuinely love where they work.

Photographing them was such a joy (obviously, the hair was flawless 😉). But my favorite part? After each session, they’d crowd around my laptop and gush over how stunning the others looked. It was supportive, celebratory, and so much fun.

That is the energy every team deserves.

Fun fact: After our salon session, they added two more team members for headshots and we were able to bring them into the studio to recreate the same look seamlessly. Consistency matters when you’re building a polished brand.

Thankfully, this team was all in, pulling over steps and stools, shifting positions, building levels so we could create depth and polish. And yes… a little Photoshop magic helped remove the tight-space elements so the final image feels open and seamless.
